London & North Eastern Railway 2-8-2 P2 Class

Background
The London & North Eastern Railway P2 Class is a type of 3-cylinder 2-8-2 steam locomotive designed for the London & North Eastern Railway by Sir Nigel Gresley in between 1934 and 1936. A total of 6 locomotives were built and withdrawn from service between 1959 and 1961.

None of the original P2's exist today, but the replica of the original member No.2001 'Cock of the North' is under construction as well as a new member.
