London, Midland & Scottish Railway 2-6-0 Hughes Crab Class

Background
The London, Midland & Scottish Railway Hughes Crab Class is a type of 2-cylinder 2-6-2 steam locomotive designed for the London, Midland & Scottish Railway by George Hughes between 1926 and 1932. A total of 245 locomotives were built and withdrawn from service between 1961 and 1967.

Three members of this class are preserved to this day, and are currently members of the National Railway Collection.
