Background
The Great Western Railway 14XX class is a type of 2-cylinder 0-4-2T steam locomotive designed for the Great Western Railway by Charles Collett between 1932 and 1936. A total of 75 locomotives were built and withdrawn from service between 1956 and 1965.
Four members of this class are preserved to this day, and are currently members of the National Railway Collection.
